24 Hours on Franklin Street was a major project I embarked upon under the guidance of Dr. Stella Ress of USI. The project examined the shifting culture of the West Side Nut Club Fall Festival, a multi-day extravaganza that takes over Franklin Street on the west side of Evansville. The finished work features a plethora of interviews, scholarly research, and newly generated micro-social historical evidence related to the impact of community events.
Klan Town, Hoosier Town was completed as a capstone project for HIST298, under Dr. Kelly Kaelin, of USI. The project examined the throughline of racist ideology in Indiana, starting with the politics of the Indiana Territory, ending with an analysis of political maneuvering in the 1990s. The project was presented at the 27th Annual Ball State University Student History Conference Hoosier History panel, under the title "Throughlines."
