My Projects

24 Hours on Franklin ST.

24 Hours on Franklin Street is a 2-part research project being conducted by myself under the guidance of Dr. Stella Ress of USI. The project examines the shifting culture of the West Side Nut Club Fall Festival, a multi-day extravaganza that takes over Franklin Street on the west side of Evansville. It will feature a plethora of interviews, scholarly research, and newly generated micro-social historical evidence upon completion in December 2024.

Klan Town, Hoosier Town

Klan Town, Hoosier Town was completed as a capstone project for HIST298, under Dr. Kelly Kaelin, of USI. The project examined the throughline of racist ideology in Indiana, starting with the politics of the Indiana Territory, ending with an analysis of political maneuvering in the 1990s. The article was presented at the 27th Annual Ball State University Student History Conference Hoosier History panel, under the title "Throughlines."
